About the Role

Bimatrix builds and operates cloud infrastructure for BIM collaboration workflows built on Speckle. You'll work directly with senior engineering on AWS deployments, backend services, and internal tooling.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain services on AWS (ECS/Fargate, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, ElastiCache, S3)
• Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
• Debug and extend custom NestJS backend services
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines / CodeDeploy)
• Contribute to frontend work on React/Vue web applications
• Manage Docker image builds, container health, and log-based debugging

• Cloud: AWS (ECS, EB, RDS PostgreSQL, ElastiCache Redis, S3, ACM, ALB)
• IaC: Terraform
• Backend: Node.js / NestJS
• Frontend: React / Vue
• DevOps: Docker, Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS CodeDeploy

Requirements

• 2–4 years of backend or full-stack development experience
• Solid understanding of Docker and Linux environments
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred)
• Ability to read logs, trace failures, and debug unfamiliar codebases
• Basic Terraform knowledge or demonstrable ability to pick it up quickly

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with Speckle or BIM/AEC tooling
• Familiarity with ECS/Fargate deployment patterns
• Familiarity with Unity3D/Client applications
