Retail & Tenant Management
- Create and apply tenant mix plans to increase shopper traffic and overall income.
- Build strong ties with major tenants and handle negotiations for lease terms, renewals, and incentives.
- Track tenant results and provide solutions to boost their sales and operational productivity.
- Partner with leasing teams to bring in new brands and ensure the retail selection remains exciting.
Mall Operations & Facilities Management
- Manage day-to-day mall activities to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for shoppers.
- Work with facilities and security departments to meet all operational standards and legal compliance.
- Guarantee that all health, safety, and government regulatory mandates are strictly followed.
- Apply industry best practices and standard operating procedures to improve cost savings and efficiency.
Marketing & Promotions
- Work with marketing departments to organize and run campaigns, events, and promotions that increase foot traffic and strengthen the mall’s brand identity.
- Track the return on investment for marketing activities and analyze shopper engagement data.
- Assist with digital marketing efforts, such as social media management and customer loyalty programs.
Financial & Performance Management
- Supervise and direct the mall’s financial health by overseeing rental collections, operating budgets, and cost controls.
- Create detailed reports and presentations for executive leadership regarding occupancy rates, total revenue, and key performance indicators.
- Formulate strategic action plans to fix performance shortfalls and ensure all revenue goals are met.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-achieving team dedicated to retail and mall management.
- Promote a culture of teamwork and customer excellence among all mall personnel.
- Act as the primary liaison for all tenants, external vendors, and internal company stakeholders.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in retail mall management, property management, or commercial leasing.
- At least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
- Experience managing community malls, shopping centres, or mixed-use developments is preferred.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Good understanding of mall operations, facilities management, and tenant fit-out processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
