Responsibilities
About the Role
The Risk & Compliance Executive is responsible for supporting the company in all regulatory, legal, certification, and audit-related matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, standards, and certifications.
This role will assist in internal audits, external audits, government licenses, ISO certifications, and Halal certification activities, ensuring timely submission, documentation accuracy, and continuous compliance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Regulatory & Legal Compliance
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and statutory requirements (local authorities, ministries, regulatory bodies).
• Maintain and update the Legal & Compliance Register.
• Coordinate with government agencies on:
• Business licenses and permits
• Regulatory submissions and renewals
• Compliance declarations and supporting documents
• Assist in regulatory inquiries, inspections, and follow-up actions.

2. ISO, Halal & Certification Management
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of management systems, including:
• ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 (or other applicable ISO standards)
• Halal certification (JAKIM)
• HACCP & GMP certification
• Prepare, maintain, and control documentation required for:
• Certification applications
• Surveillance audits
• Recertification audits
• Coordinate with certification bodies, consultants, and auditors.
• Track certification validity, audit schedules, and corrective action timelines.

3. Internal & External Audit Support
• Assist in planning and conducting internal audits:
• Audit scheduling
• Audit documentation preparation
• Follow-up on audit findings and corrective actions
• Support external audits (ISO, Halal, HACCP, customer audits, regulatory audits):
• Prepare audit files and records
• Coordinate audit logistics
• Track and close Non-Conformities (NC), Observations, and Opportunities for Improvement (OFI)

4. Documentation & Record Control
• Prepare, review, and maintain compliance-related documents including:
• SOPs, policies, procedures
• Declarations, statements, and compliance letters
• Audit records, certifications, approvals
• Ensure proper document control in line with ISO requirements.
• Maintain organized and audit-ready records (physical and electronic).

5. Risk, Compliance Monitoring & Reporting
• Assist in identifying compliance risks and support risk assessment activities.
• Monitor compliance performance and report issues to the QA/Compliance Manager.
• Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) tracking and closure.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, HR, Finance, and Management on compliance-related matters.
• Support training coordination for compliance, ISO, HACCP and Halal awareness where required.

Job Requirements
Education
• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in:
• Quality Management
• Science / Engineering
• Environmental Health & Safety
• Business / Law / Compliance
• Or related disciplines

Requirements
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in:
• Compliance, Quality Assurance, or Regulatory roles
• Manufacturing, chemical, food, or industrial environment (preferred)
• Able to travel outstation when necessary.
Hands-on experience with:
• ISO certification processes and audits
• Halal certification processes
• Government license applications and renewals
• Experience handling audits and documentation independently is an advantage
