Job Description

Responsibilities

Associate Systems Engineer (Data Centre Facilities Management)

  • Up to $5,000 basic + variable bonus

  • Location: MacPherson

  • Working Hours:

    • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

    • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (only when required for projects)

  • Company transport provided to onsite locations (no driving license required)

The company focuses on ensuring reliable operations of data centre environments, including power, cooling, space optimization, and asset lifecycle management, while maintaining high service standards and operational efficiency.

Role Overview

This position supports the management of data centre facilities, including power, cooling systems, space utilization, and asset inventory. You will work closely with the Data Centre Facilities Management (DCFM) Lead and project teams to ensure smooth operations and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform health monitoring of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) equipment in the data centre

  • Attend to user requests related to data centre facilities

  • Assist with cabling works within the data centre environment

  • Monitor ticketing systems and follow up on required actions

  • Support pre- and post-maintenance activities for M&E equipment

  • Respond to user enquiries regarding co-location services

  • Monitor power consumption and rack space utilization

  • Collaborate with vendors to identify Operational Technology (OT) devices

  • Assist in preparing risk registers, including vulnerability assessments

  • Ensure accurate tracking of data centre asset movements

  • Support reporting tasks for the Data Centre Manager and Team Lead

  • Apply knowledge of cabling infrastructure in daily operations

Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field

  • 1 year of experience in Data Centre Facilities Management

  • Willing to be on 24/7 standby when required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Able to travel to data centre sites as needed
