Responsibilities

Location: Puchong, Malaysia (with regional exposure across APAC)


Codemax is a fast-growing enterprise SaaS and AI technology company expanding across multiple verticals and regional markets. As we scale into our next phase of growth, we are looking for a strong operational and financial leader who is excited to help build, organize and grow a regional technology company together with the founders and leadership team.


This role is not designed for someone seeking a highly structured corporate environment.

We are looking for someone entrepreneurial, hands-on, execution-driven and comfortable operating within a fast-moving startup ecosystem where priorities evolve quickly and growth opportunities emerge dynamically.

### Role Overview ###

This role combines both operational leadership and financial discipline.


The successful candidate will work closely with the founders and management team to help ensure the company scales in a structured, disciplined and sustainable manner while maintaining the agility and speed required in a startup environment.


The role will involve overseeing operational execution, governance implementation, business planning, budgeting, financial monitoring and strategic growth coordination across the organization.


This position is intended to strengthen internal execution capability and management discipline as the company continues to grow regionally.


### Key Responsibilities ###

(A) Operational & Organizational Leadership

  • Ensure operational structure, governance, policies and internal processes are properly implemented and continuously improved
  • Strengthen organizational discipline, accountability and reporting systems
  • Monitor implementation status of expansion plans, projects and strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across departments and business verticals
  • Support talent management, hiring coordination and organizational development
  • Improve internal workflows, operational efficiency and scalability
  • Ensure proper follow-through and execution against management priorities and timelines

(B) Financial & Strategic Management

  • Lead budgeting, financial planning and performance monitoring processes
  • Monitor business performance against projections, KPIs and growth targets
  • Oversee cashflow planning and financial discipline
  • Monitor receivables, contract management and resource allocation
  • Ensure capital and operational expenditure are aligned with business plans and strategic priorities
  • Support fundraising preparation, financial modelling and investor reporting together with management and external advisors/consultants
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, consultants and external stakeholders where necessary

(C) Strategic Execution

  • Assist management in execution of growth initiatives, partnerships and regional expansion plans
  • Support management decision-making through operational and financial analysis
  • Drive execution culture while balancing startup agility with organizational discipline


### Requirements ###

  • Proven experience in operations, finance, business management, corporate planning and/or scaling businesses
  • Strong ability to drive implementation, coordination and execution across teams
  • Experience building or improving governance, reporting structures and operational processes
  • Comfortable operating hands-on in a startup or fast-growing environment
  • Strong financial literacy and commercial understanding
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability and initiative
  • Good people management and communication skills


### Preferred Experience ###

  • Experience in startup, SaaS, technology, AI or high-growth companies will be highly preferred
  • Exposure to fundraising, investor management or business expansion initiatives is an advantage
  • Experience in operational finance, business management and strategic planning is beneficial


### Education ###

  • o  Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, Entrepreneurship or other related disciplines
  • MBA or postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent are beneficial but not mandatory
