SITE MANAGER – JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Scope
The Site Manager is responsible for day-to-day site operations — managing contractors, ensuring work quality, spotting structural issues early, and keeping projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
 On-Site Supervision & Contractor Management
• Coordinate daily works, enforce proper sequencing, maintain a neat & safe site.
• Ensure contractors follow plans and deliver quality workmanship.

 Quality Control & Problem Spotting
• Review site conditions daily against drawings — must read plans and spot issues early (e.g. missing supports, uneven partitions, ceiling alignment, M&E clashes).
• Raise any technical problems immediately to the ID to prevent costly errors.

 Defect Checks & Rectification
• Personally inspect works, prepare defect lists, arrange rectifications, and track till fully resolved.
• Keep ID/Admin updated on progress and completion.

 Measurements & Materials
• Take accurate measurements when required.
• Check all delivered materials for spec, colour, size, quantity, and condition; report discrepancies immediately.

 Daily Updates & Communication
• Send daily photos/videos showing progress and key site points.
• Update group chats on location, current works, and next steps.
• Must submit daily EOD report (by 6 PM) and next-day plan (by 8 PM).

 Reporting & Escalation
• All site or structural issues must be flagged to the ID or Ops Lead on the same day.
• Admin handles quotations, orders, and payments — Site Manager focuses purely on execution.

 Accountability & Standards
• Expected to proactively check and ensure site is built to plan — not just take photos.
• Missed checks that lead to rework or added costs will be reviewed.
• Must be physically present during key works, defect rectifications, and handovers.
• Performance reviewed weekly and monthly based on KPI compliance.
