Role Overview: Supports the management of project data throughout EPCI project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Engineering Data Management
- Develop and maintain engineering data structures, tag registers, and master data for EPCI projects to ensure accurate project documentation.
- Maintain engineering deliverable metadata and assist in managing the project class library for consistent data usage.
- Capture and maintain engineering data across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases to support project continuity.
- Maintain engineering databases and digital handover datasets to facilitate project information transfer.
Data Quality & Governance
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality checks across project data repositories to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Support the implementation of data governance procedures, standards, and workflows to maintain data integrity.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with client information standards and project data specifications to meet contractual and quality requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with engineering disciplines, information management teams, and project stakeholders to collect and verify project data for accuracy and completeness.
- Support alignment of tagging philosophy, equipment hierarchy, and asset data requirements to standardize project data.
- Assist in resolving data inconsistencies and support project teams in meeting data requirements to minimize project delays.
- Participate in data coordination meetings and support follow-up actions to close data gaps and improve data quality.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, or equivalent).
- 3–6 years of experience in oil & gas, offshore EPC/EPCI, or engineering project environments.
- Experience supporting engineering data management or project data administration.
- Exposure to engineering databases, commissioning/completions databases, or engineering information systems.
- Prior experience in FPSO, offshore platforms, or large EPC/EPCI projects.
- Basic understanding of engineering tagging philosophy and equipment hierarchy.
- Familiarity with engineering deliverables and lifecycle data.
- Proficiency in Excel; exposure to SQL, Power BI, or data analysis tools.
