Job Description

Responsibilities

MS SQL/DBA

Role Summary:
Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting enterprise applications (PeopleSoft, custom apps, AMS tools). Focus on performance, high availability, and backup/recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances (2016/2019/2022).

  • Implement HA/DR solutions (Always On, clustering, log shipping).

  • Optimize queries, indexes, and database performance.

  • Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.

  • Support developers with schema design and query tuning.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years as a SQL Server DBA.

  • Expertise in T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS.

  • Experience with database monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Idera, etc.).

  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting Oracle databases or PeopleSoft.
