Job Summary:
The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering friendly and professional customer service. This role supports smooth front-end operations and ensures a pleasant shopping experience for all customers at Segi Fresh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS system
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other payment methods responsibly
- Ensure correct pricing, scanning, and billing of items
- Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges according to company policy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashier counter area
- Assist customers with inquiries, promotions, and basic product information
- Perform opening and closing cashier duties, including cash reconciliation
- Follow company procedures, SOPs, and loss prevention guidelines
- Support front-end operations and teamwork with store staff
- Carry out any other duties and tasks assigned by the superior or management from time to time
Requirements & Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
- Fresh graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Basic numeracy and attention to detail
- Honest, responsible, and trustworthy
- Friendly personality with good communication skills
- Customer-service oriented mindset
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Basic computer or POS knowledge is an advantage but not required
