Role Description

The Assistant Tax Manager supports the Group in strategic tax planning and advisory, ensure full compliance with applicable tax regulations, staying up-to-date with evolving tax laws and assessing their impact on the business.

Key responsibilities include managing and reviewing tax submissions for both direct and indirect taxes, providing technical advice on tax-related matters, and leading tax audits and appeals. The role also involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and external tax agents to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient tax processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, or a related field. Professional qualification of CTIM is preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in tax compliance, ideally within the property development industry.
• Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax regulations (e.g., corporate tax, SST, WHT, RPGT, Stamp Duty, Transfer Pricing)
• Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to lead tax audits and manage queries efficiently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tax matters simultaneously
