Role Overview
The ROV Technician will be stationed onboard vessels to provide on-site repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of robotic hull-cleaning systems. This role ensures operational readiness and minimizes downtime during shipboard service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Onboard Repair: Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, or software issues in robotic systems during missions.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and servicing of ROVs while onboard vessels.
Documentation: Maintain shipboard records of repairs, spare parts usage, and maintenance schedules.
Operational Support: Provide immediate technical assistance during hull-cleaning missions to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest upgrades or modifications based on shipboard performance feedback.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience in robotics maintenance or maritime equipment servicing.
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in shipboard environments.
Familiarity with underwater robotics or maritime technology is a plus.
Ability to work onboard vessels during operations.
Strong teamwork and communication skills with ship crew and engineers.
Safety-conscious and adaptable to dynamic maritime environments.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
