The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing (SoC). SoC is strongly committed to research excellence in all its dimensions: Searching for fundamental results and insights in developing novel computational solutions to a wide range of applications, building largescale experimental systems, developing theories and policies for effective management of information systems in organizations, and improving the well-being of society. We seek to play an active role both internationally and locally in the core and emerging areas of Computer Science and Information Systems.
We are seeking highly motivated and creative postdoctoral candidates to join the Yang Zhang Lab in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore.
The candidate will conduct research on AI-driven biomolecular modeling, with a focus on generative models and structure prediction. His work will involve developing and applying advanced machine learning methods, including diffusion models, graph neural networks, and Transformer-based architectures, to problems in molecular design and protein–RNA interaction modeling. He is expected to contribute to ongoing projects in AI for drug discovery and structural bioinformatics, including the development of new algorithms, implementation of scalable computational pipelines, and publication of high-impact research outputs.
PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field. Strong background in deep learning, especially diffusion models, graph neural networks, and Transformer architectures. Proven research track record with publications in high-quality journals. Solid programming skills in Python and experience with PyTorch and scientific computing libraries. Familiarity with molecular modeling tools such as RDKit and OpenMM is highly desirable. Ability to conduct independent research and collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary environments.
