Responsibilities

About the Role

Zenith Capital is looking for a Private Wealth & Investment Management Trainee to join our selective trainee programme.

This role is designed for individuals who are serious about building a long-term career in private wealth management, investment portfolio analysis, retirement planning, insurance planning, trust planning support and family office services.

As a trainee, you will be exposed to both the technical side of wealth management and the client-facing side of advisory work. You will learn how to analyse client portfolios, review asset allocation, understand risk and return profiles, prepare investment summaries, support retirement and legacy planning discussions, and communicate financial concepts clearly to clients.

Our Client Segment

Our firm works with mass-affluent clients, high-net-worth individuals, family office clients and business owners, supporting them across investment management, portfolio reviews, retirement planning, insurance solutions, wealth structuring coordination, trust planning support and long-term asset management solutions.

The role offers exposure to affluent-market planning areas such as portfolio management, retirement income planning, wealth protection, universal life solutions, estate liquidity, legacy planning, trust structures and family office support.

Selective Trainee Intake

To ensure proper mentorship and hands-on training, we only open two trainee intakes per year, with each intake limited to approximately 3 to 5 trainees.

This selective structure allows each trainee to receive focused guidance, structured training and meaningful exposure to real client cases under senior supervision.

Portfolio Analysis & Technical Learning

A key part of this role involves learning how to review and analyse client portfolios.

You will be trained to assess areas such as asset allocation, investment exposure, portfolio concentration, risk-return profile, liquidity needs, income objectives and long-term financial goals.

You will also assist in preparing portfolio review materials, investment summaries, fund comparisons, market updates and client presentation documents.

Client-Facing Advisory Exposure

Alongside the analytical aspect of the role, you will also receive exposure to client-facing advisory work.

This includes attending client meetings with senior advisers, supporting fact-finding discussions, understanding client needs, preparing follow-up materials and learning how to communicate investment, retirement and wealth planning ideas clearly and professionally.

You will also be trained in relationship management, business development, referrals, seminars and professional networking.

Performance-Based Rewards

This role provides a structured learning pathway together with a performance-based reward structure.

In addition to a monthly basic salary, trainees may be eligible for commissions, performance bonuses and incentive rewards based on individual contribution, client relationship development, business performance and team objectives.

This is suitable for candidates who are motivated by personal growth, client impact and merit-based rewards. The role is ideal for individuals who want more than a fixed desk-bound position and are open to building a career where effort, professionalism and results can be recognised financially.

Training, Mentorship & Development

You will receive structured training in investment products, portfolio construction, financial markets, retirement planning, insurance planning, trust planning support, client advisory, compliance and professional communication.

You will also be mentored by experienced professionals and gradually exposed to real client cases as you develop the required knowledge, confidence and regulatory readiness.

Relevant licensing, product and compliance requirements must be completed before conducting regulated advisory activities.

Who We Are Looking For

This role is suitable for someone who is disciplined, ambitious, client-oriented and eager to learn.

We are looking for candidates who are comfortable with both analytical work and client-facing responsibilities. You should have a strong interest in investments, financial markets, private wealth, retirement planning and long-term client relationship management.

No prior finance experience is required as training will be provided. Prior experience in investments, banking, insurance, sales, client servicing, business development or financial planning will be an advantage.
