Our client is looking for a Technical Expert - Microelectronics for AI Computing Systems to join the company.

Key Responsibilities:

In this strategic role driving both internal and external R&D initiatives in Microelectronics for AI Computing Systems, you will:

• Assess emerging technologies and their commercial viability through comprehensive research, including literature reviews, technology trend analysis, and modeling/simulations.
• Develop high-impact technical analysis reports for senior leadership (e.g., Chief Scientists, executives, and key decision-makers) to inform strategic direction.
• Perform early-stage feasibility studies and simulations to define and refine technical roadmaps.
• Lead and shape corporate and Business Unit (BU) innovation programs, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
• Manage and expand an international innovation network, collaborating with external partners such as research institutions, suppliers, and ecosystem stakeholders.
• Influence product development strategies through cross-functional engagement and technical leadership.
• Support prototyping activities for initial technical validation and concept demonstration, where required.
• Organize and facilitate internal seminars and workshops, fostering active knowledge exchange with academic and industry partners.

Education & Experience:

• PhD with 5+ years of experience in industry and/or academia within relevant domains.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Microelectronics technologies for computing systems: heterogeneous integration (e.g., 3D IC), optoelectronics, and thermal management
• Memory technologies and their applications in AI computing systems
• AI computing architectures and System-on-Chip (SoC) design
• AI/ML algorithms and corresponding hardware implementations
• Low-power design methodologies for computing chipsets/systems (device to system level)

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical mindset – capable of tackling both high-level strategic challenges and deep technical details.
• Self-driven learner – stays ahead of emerging trends in technology.
• Exceptional communication & persuasion skills – thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Project leadership – ability to steer cross-functional teams toward well-defined goals.
• Collaborative approach – works effectively with diverse engineering teams, fostering knowledge sharing and providing clear updates to stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel – occasional trips within Asia and internationally for conferences and partner engagements.
• Relationship-building – cultivates strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (written & spoken).
• Proficiency in PowerPoint & Excel – able to distill complex concepts into clear, impactful presentations.
