Galactic Network is a team of passionate AWS experts based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We specialize in helping local businesses move to the cloud seamlessly, handling both Day 1 migrations and Day 2 operations—to optimize processes, drive growth, and reduce costs.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated technologist with deep expertise in cloud technology to join our presales team. This role is crucial in leading architecture design, driving cloud migration, enabling application modernization and cloud transformation for our customers. The role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement our cloud solutions to solve complex business challenges and accelerate customer's cloud adoption.

Job Responsibilities

• Engage in pre-sales activities, including customer requirement gathering, solution design, proposal write up, presentation and effort estimation.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, particularly with key technical decision-makers, to understand their technology challenges and address those challenges in depth.
• Contribute to the design of cloud-based solutions for our service and solution offerings and drive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for assigned domains or industries.
• Stay up to date on emerging cloud technologies and proactively assess their potential impact on our service and solution offerings.
• Develop comprehensive modernization roadmaps for cloud adoption, cover migration strategies, cloud operating models, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, delivery, project management, and operations, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Act as technical architect in project delivery based on individual’s domain expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in building, architecting, designing, and implementing distributed cloud-based systems, preferably on the AWS cloud platform.
• Solid understanding in a broad range of technology solutions, including operating system, container, database, middleware, backup, monitoring, automation, network and security etc.
• Strong skills in solution architecture and consulting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills - able to engage both technical stakeholders and C-level executives.
• Relevant certifications in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
