Our client is looking for a skilled Software Developer with expertise in C++ to become part of their Data Infrastructure team. This team is dedicated to designing and maintaining high-performance microservices that facilitate large-scale data storage, retrieval, and processing for research and analytics. In this role, you will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and researchers to enhance data infrastructure solutions, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain C++-based microservices for data infrastructure
• Improve software performance and scalability for optimized data processing
• Identify and resolve software issues to ensure stability and reliability
• Keep up with the latest trends in C++ programming and data engineering
• Write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain high development standards
• Work alongside support teams to streamline deployment and operations
• Contribute to the architecture and design of data processing pipelines

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development using C++
• Hands-on experience with microservices and asynchronous multithreaded applications
• Proficiency in Linux environments
• Knowledge of databases and SQL
• Familiarity with data serialization formats such as Apache Arrow, Parquet, Protocol Buffers, or Flatbuffers
• Experience working with gRPC, HTTP/REST, and WebSocket protocols
• Exposure to Google Cloud, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Background in distributed systems and large-scale datasets
• Additional proficiency in Rust is an advantage
