  • Relevant experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar supervisory kitchen role 
  • Experience in hotels, restaurants, resorts, or cruise ships is an advantage 
  • Good communication skills in English 
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and multicultural environment 
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and food safety 
  • Leadership skills and ability to supervise a kitchen team 
  • Willing to work onboard a cruise ship

Responsibilities

We are hiring experienced culinary professionals for Sous Chef and Junior Sous Chef positions onboard an international cruise ship.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with strong kitchen leadership experience who are ready to work in a fast-paced, multicultural shipboard environment.

Salary

Sous Chef: USD 3,400/month

Junior Sous Chef: USD 3,200/month

Job Responsibilities

As a Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef, you will support the daily operation of the galley and ensure food preparation is carried out according to required standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in managing daily kitchen operations onboard 
  • Supervise and guide kitchen team members during food preparation and service 
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained 
  • Support menu preparation, mise en place, and service readiness 
  • Monitor kitchen cleanliness and proper food handling procedures 
  • Work closely with senior galley management to maintain smooth operations 
  • Maintain discipline, teamwork, and efficiency within the kitchen team
