Job Description:

1. - Oversee Design Transfer through the application of Design for Excellence principles.
2. - Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned systems and provide training as necessary.
3. - Act as a liaison between Research & Development, Manufacturing counterparts, and Suppliers.
4. - Ensure ease of assembly and high yield rates by conducting design reviews and utilizing assembly and test fixtures.
5. - Govern and drive cost efficiencies:
6. o Through system design optimization during the design phase, o By applying LEAN principles in manufacturing.
7. - Ensure product development considers future sustaining activities.
8. - Design and develop assembly/test jigs and fixtures.
9. - Ensure proper documentation is available in accordance with Design and Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for instrument industrialization.
10. - Develop and manage workflows with the development team as needed to ensure compliance with QMS requirements.

Requirements:

• 1. Minimum 3 years of experience in product development environment.
• 2. Familiar with Design for Excellence principles.
• 3. Experience with various tools. Eg. DOORs, JAMA and SAP.
• 4. Preferably experienced in a highly regulated environment.
• 5. Preferably with Electromechanical experience.
• 6. Familiar with either 3D CAD system such as Solidworks or Electrical CAD system such as Altium designer.
