Key responsibilities and duties

1. Resident Competent Engineer 132kV is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of 132kV electrical systems and equipment at the Solar farm project. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the reliability and performance of the electrical systems while adhering to statutory regulations and safety standards.

1. Operation & Maintenance:

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of 132kV switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and associated equipment.
• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability and performance.

1. Troubleshooting & Repairs:

• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues related to 132kV systems.
• Ensure prompt response to system faults to minimize downtime.

1. Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) regulations.
• Monitor and enforce workplace safety procedures and standards.

1. Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and system performance.
• Prepare and submit reports to management on system status and incidents.

1. Project Support:

• Provide technical support during project execution, commissioning, and upgrades of 132kV electrical systems.

1. Team Coordination:

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for maintenance and repair activities.
