Responsibilities

BRIEF

The Associate Manager supports the procurement function by assisting in the strategic sourcing and purchasing processes. This role involves working closely with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services and maintaining procurement records.


JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Manage daily procurement activities and ensure smooth purchasing operations.
  • Ensure all procurement processes comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Request for quotation, proposal, information, and involve in tender exercises while ensuring fair and transparent procurement practices.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and achieve department cost reduction targets.
  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance and contract deliverables.
  • Prepare procurement reports, procurement plans, and budget tracking reports.
  • Analyze procurement spending and recommend cost improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders on procurement requirements and processes.
  • Perform any other duties or projects assigned by management.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration / Mechanical Engineering / Finance or equivalent.
  • At least 7-8 years of working experience as Purchasing or Procurement Specialist.
  • Excellent experienced in Purchasing / Inventory / Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical or Manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Solid technical knowledge of mechanical components, spare parts, machinery, and industrial equipment.
  • Excellent working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, etc) and data base.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, high integrity, meticulous & resourceful.
