Job Summary
A Sales Associate assists customers, promotes products, processes sales transactions, and ensures a positive shopping experience. They commonly work in retail stores, shopping malls, convenience stores, pharmacies, restaurants, and cafés.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly manner
- Recommend products and answer customer inquiries
- Achieve sales targets and promote ongoing promotions
- Arrange and restock merchandise on shelves or displays
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) system and handle payments
- Maintain store cleanliness and organized displays
- Monitor inventory and report low stock items
- Handle customer complaints professionally
- Support opening and closing store procedures
Requirements
- Minimum SPM qualification
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer and cashiering knowledge
- Friendly, responsible, and customer-oriented attitude
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Previous retail or sales experience is an advantage
