  • Site Analysis & Research: Conduct site surveys to assess existing topography, soil conditions, drainage patterns, ecology, and existing structures.
  • Concept Generation: Create schematic designs, mood boards, and master plans that align with the client’s vision (e.g., minimalist, premium, or naturalistic aesthetics).
  • Material & Plant Selection: Select appropriate hardscape materials (paving, stone, structures) and softscapes (trees, shrubs, turf) that thrive in the local climate and match the project’s budget and maintenance capabilities.

B. Technical Documentation & Compliance

  • CAD Drafting & Modeling: Prepare precise site plans, working drawings, construction details, and grading plans using software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or Lumion.
  • Specifications & Costing: Write detailed technical specifications for materials and installation methods, and collaborate on cost estimation and bills of quantities (BQ).
  • Environmental & Legal Compliance: Ensure designs comply with environmental regulations, local council (MBPJ/MBSA, etc.) guidelines, zoning laws, and sustainability metrics.

C. Project Management & Site Supervision

  • Tender Process Support: Assist in preparing tender documents, evaluating contractor bids, and drafting construction contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate and liaise with building architects, civil/structural engineers, town planners, and project managers to resolve design clashes.
  • Site Inspections & Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to audit progress, ensure contractors adhere to the precise design specifications, troubleshoot technical issues on the ground, and sign off on completed milestones.
