Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience with a strong business development track record
  • Existing network with brands and/or agencies - advantage
  • Proven ability to work as an individual contributor while building a team over time
  • Background in media, digital marketing, or influencer marketing preferred
  • Good understanding of the local social media landscape and influencer ecosystem
  • Able to think strategically and execute at ground level
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English & Bahasa
  • Self-directed and effective in lean, fast-moving environments
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure

Responsibilities

We are looking for a commercially driven Creator Partnerships Manager to support business development and expand our sales function here in Malaysia. This is a ground-floor opportunity, you will be a key sales personnel in the business, responsible for acquiring new deals with brands and agencies, building a pipeline, and eventually growing a team around you. The right person is as comfortable closing deals independently as they are thinking about long-term sales strategy and team structure.

What you will be doing:

  • Business development and pipeline ownership: Drive new business by proactively engaging brands, agencies, and strategic partners. Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching to closing, and build a healthy, growing pipeline from the outset.
  • Revenue targets: Set and deliver on revenue KPIs. Ensure that the pipeline has a good conversion rate and that revenue targets are met.
  • Team building and leadership: Define the processes, playbooks, and structures that will support future hiring. As the team grows, recruit, onboard, and develop sales talent, setting clear expectations and providing consistent coaching along the way.
  • Client relationships and account growth: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients and business partners. Identify opportunities to deepen existing accounts and expand the scope of engagement over time.
  • Market intelligence: Stay well-informed on market trends, competitor movements, and developments in the influencer and social media space. Translate insights into strategies that keep empwr competitive and well-positioned.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to surface revenue opportunities, including production projects and PR activations for in-house talents. Ensure strong alignment between what is sold and what is delivered.
  • Reporting and sales planning: Maintain clear visibility over the pipeline and report regularly on progress, forecasts, and priorities. Identify gaps early and adjust strategy accordingly.
