Golden Energy and Resources Pte. Ltd. (“GEAR”) is a leading Asia Pacific resources company with coal mining operations in Australia through subsidiaries Illawarra Coal Holdings and Stanmore Resources, gold mining via Ravenswood Gold, and investments in renewable energy projects.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this 5–6 month contract (for maternity cover) FP&A professional role supports financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial modelling, partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver actionable business insights and support operational decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly analysis of actual results against budget for business units and entities within the Group, delivering operational insights and commentary on key variances
  • Prepare management reports, variance analyses, budgets, and forecasts to assess performance and financial outlook for the year
  • Preparation of and support for the development and enhancement of cash flow forecasts and dashboards for business units and entities within the Group
  • Limited extended stakeholders management and business partnering within the Group
  • Execute ad-hoc assignments as required

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, business, finance, or related disciplines with 3–5 years of relevant FP&A experience
  • Regional FP&A exposure is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling and report automation; knowledge of VBA is a plus to improve reporting efficiency
  • Skilled in PowerPoint and data visualization tools to enhance report presentation and communication
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with business units and stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, committed, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
