Responsibilities
Queenstown | $2,200 to $2,500 per month | From 29 June to 27 November 2026
Tuesdays: 8:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break | Wednesdays: 8:00am to 2:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays, school Holiday periods (1 Jun to 26 Jun, 7 to 11 Sept 2026, 28 Nov to 31 Dec 2026)
Job Scope:
Connect with identified students regularly over a prolonged duration (approx. 6 months), build positive relationships, and support their holistic development.
Provide academic and/or socio-emotional support to students unable to reintegrate into class due to absences
Conduct house visits and ferry identified students to school if absent for more than 3 days without valid reasons.
Plan and conduct customised intervention programmes aligned with the school’s character development efforts after school on Tuesdays, including academic support, mentoring, and engagement programmes.
Observe, identify, and document students’ needs, and report cases to Year Heads / Assistant Year Heads and School Leaders for further support.
Provide feedback on students’ needs, programme experiences, and concerns to support student development.
Review engagement programmes each term and recommend improvements.
Work professionally with students, school personnel, and Year Heads / Assistant Year Heads to support students.
Practise responsible conduct during all school engagements.
Requirements
required to be registered social workers or registered social work practitioner with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).
At least 2 years of experience, preferably in school social work & has practised in school. Prior social work experience working with children & youth in the community settings will also be considered.
