Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as an active, hands-on strategic partner to the executive leadership team, directly driving financial operations, capital management, and fiscal strategies across the group. This role demands an operationally involved leader who does not just analyze data from afar, but actively translates complex financial metrics into actionable, ground-level growth strategies to optimize efficiency and safeguard assets. The ideal candidate is an execution-driven professional who will personally steer financial transformation, strengthen internal control frameworks, and mentor an agile finance team from the front lines to sustain long-term market leadership.
Job Responsibility
- Formulate and execute the group’s financial strategy, actively collaborating with business units to align operations with long-term corporate expansion plans.
- Provide direct, hands-on leadership to the finance, treasury, tax, and corporate governance teams, ensuring close involvement in day-to-day fiscal management.
- Personally oversee the meticulous preparation, accuracy, and presentation of financial reports, detailed budgets, and forecasts for the Board of Directors.
- Actively manage corporate liquidity, optimize capital allocation, and directly drive treasury functions and critical banking relationships.
- Roll up your sleeves to conduct deep-dive financial analysis, establishing robust cost-optimization and investment evaluation frameworks to directly improve store and division margins.
- Directly design, implement, and monitor internal control frameworks and risk management policies across all retail branches and business entities.
- Lead and actively manage corporate finance exercises, including due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic capital restructuring.
- Drive the end-to-end implementation of financial digital transformation initiatives, ensuring personal involvement in upgrading ERP systems and reporting workflows.
Job Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
- 12–15 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years as a hands-on CFO or Finance Director.
- Experience in both MNC and family-owned businesses, balancing corporate governance with entrepreneurial flexibility.
- Empathetic leadership style to drive change smoothly without causing internal disruption or conflict.
- Hands-on experience in retail, FMCG, or commercial distribution is a strong advantage.
- Practical knowledge of multi-channel retail finance, inventory optimization, and multi-entity workflows.
- Strong diplomatic and communication skills to bridge operations with Board-level strategy.
