What The Role Is
As a member of the Corporate Planning Section under the Strategic Planning and Research Group, you will be responsible for driving the corporate planning process in HDB to formulate and monitor the implementation of HDB’s near-, mid- and long-term plans and strategies in response to emerging strategic issues and in alignment with national priorities.
What You Will Be Working On
Your responsibilities may include:
Strategic Futures and Foresight
- Performing horizon scanning to identify emerging issues that might affect HDB and the future of public housing in the long-term
- Conducting in-depth research and sense-making to understand and translate these issues into actionable insights and problem statements
- Preparing foresight reports and presentations to sensitize key stakeholders to these issues and facilitate forward-planning
Strategy Formulation and Performance Monitoring - Setting organizational priorities and goals to address emerging issues and in alignment with national priorities
- Charting effective corporate plans and strategies to achieve the priorities and goals in the near- to mid-term
- Communicating HDB’s priorities and corporate directions to key stakeholders to drive strategic coherence and coordination
- Developing and monitoring metrics against HDB’s corporate plans and strategies to track progress, ensure their continued relevance and enable course correction, where necessary
Corporate Planning Process and Management - Organising conferences, management advances, etc
- Performing secretariat roles to support senior management, for key meetings and events
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with the following qualities and qualifications:
- Possess an analytical mind and the ability to synthesize a broad range of information into clear, coherent and actionable insights
- Not afraid to think out of the box and present alternative views
- Able to multi-task effectively and work in a dynamic environment, at time under tight deadlines and with some ambiguity
- Comfortable with engaging different stakeholders to drive fruitful collaborations
- Self-motivated, resourceful and a team player
- Able to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form
- Quantitative skills and/or prior experience in corporate planning work is appreciated
Successful candidates will be offered a 1+1 year contract.
