Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations, or agency/client servicing. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. 
  • Proven experience in drafting press releases, media pitches, speeches, briefing documents, and communication plans. 
  • Established media network and good understanding of Malaysia’s media landscape. 
  • Ability to manage client accounts, timelines, deliverables, and reporting independently. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, media, influencers, stakeholders, and internal teams. 
  • Experience in planning and executing PR campaigns, media events, launches, press conferences, and brand activations. 
  • Good crisis communication, issue management, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Able to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and follow-through. 
  • Familiarity with social media, digital PR, influencer engagement, and content planning is an added advantage. 
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide junior team members or interns. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic media monitoring/reporting tools. 
  • Possess a proactive attitude, professional maturity, and confidence in client-facing situations.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute public relations strategies and campaign plans for clients. 
  • Draft press releases, media invitations, speeches, briefing documents, proposals, reports, and other PR materials. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists, editors, influencers, clients, and business partners. 
  • Pitch stories and secure media coverage across print, online, broadcast, and digital platforms. 
  • Coordinate and manage media events, press conferences, product launches, interviews, and client activations. 
  • Liaise with clients to understand their objectives, provide updates, and ensure smooth execution of campaigns. 
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare coverage reports, PR value reports, and campaign summaries. 
  • Support crisis communication, issue management, and reputation management activities when required. 
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, media angles, and communication opportunities. 
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and vendors where necessary. 
  • Guide junior team members, interns, or executives on PR tasks and campaign execution. 
  • Ensure all communications materials are accurate, professional, and aligned with client or company branding.
