Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Employment Type: Contract, Third party payroll

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Java Developer with strong experience in enterprise application development, banking/financial systems, and backend technologies. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in Java development, middleware technologies, database programming, and production support within fast-paced enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java applications and backend systems
• Analyze business and technical requirements to deliver scalable and reliable solutions
• Develop APIs, backend modules, and integration components using Java technologies
• Support production systems, troubleshoot defects, and optimize application performance
• Participate in SIT, UAT, deployment, and production go-live activities
• Develop and maintain SQL/PLSQL procedures, packages, and database integrations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business users, and technical stakeholders
• Prepare technical documentation and provide application support when required

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2SE development
• Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP APIs, JDBC, and JMS
• Experience in SQL and PL/SQL programming including stored procedures and functions
• Experience with Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server databases
• Familiarity with WebLogic, JBoss, or Apache Tomcat Application Servers
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills
• Experience with Linux/Unix environment and shell scripting is an added advantage

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domain
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and enterprise integrations
• Exposure to React, Angular, or frontend technologies is an added advantage
• Experience in enterprise deployment and go-live support

Experience Required:

• Total Experience: 7 Years
• Relevant Experience in Java Technologies: 5+ Years

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent qualification.
