PRODUCTION / PROCESS ENGINEER

Production (Manufacturing)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production / Process Engineer to oversee daily production activities, ensure quality standards, and maintain a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will manage production process, coordinate manpower, and uphold compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Production and Quality Assurance (QA)

Oversee daily prod operations, ensuring accuracy efficiency, and adherence to standards.

Conduct in-process quality checks and final inspections, ensuring all parts meet quality requirements.

Maintain documentation and records related to QA and production performance.

Job Description:

Process Optimization:

- Analyze and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase yield.

- Control the efficiency of production process from beginning till end based on the set standards.

- Evaluate the efficiency and productivity of product by setting the ratio of machine to operators.

Quality Control:

- Evaluate the efficiency and productivity of product by setting the ratio of machine to operators.

- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications through regular inspections and testing.

- Daily routine - inspections on product {before and after).

- Abnormality claim (internal or external/ customer claim) feedback on cause & CM and make improvement on process (4M+lE).

- Leads in process improvement, Problem Solving, Production Process Flow, SOP, etc.

- Identify and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operations.

- Feedback to machine operator any abnormality occurred related to process setting (man), tools, machine, materials, handling or environment.

Improvement:

- Any research and development needed to improve on tools (durability) material, machine etc.

- Provide and data collection on process, tooling usage, machine capability and other sources related to process.

Training:

- Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and equipment.

Documentation/ System:

- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and improvements.

- Provide any Quality Standard Procedure (QSP), Work Instructions (WI) Quality Instruction Sheet (QIS), Memo etc.

- Provide any Process Inspection Check Sheet, Periodical Inspection

- Check Sheet, Cleaning Inspection Check Sheet etc.

- Monitor the running of the existing system and procedure and make recommendation for improvement.

- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standard.

As an Auditor:

- Support quality audits, customer complaint resolutions, and EHS initiatives.

- Conduct EHS training and promote workplace safety.

- As a qualified auditor on IATF automotive, ISO 9001:2015 QMS,

- ISO 14001:2015 EMS, SS Safety and Health Committee.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, and Maintenance, to implement process improvements.

- To control, evaluate and motivate subordinate staff to achieve

- maximum work output.

- To improve the discipline, spirit of work, safety and housekeeping in the shop floor level.

Qualifications

1. Education:

- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline or equivalent experienced.

2. Experience:

- Minimum 2 years relevant working experienced, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Preferably candidates in automotive line.

- Knowledge in IATF 16949 and other ISQ compliance is an added advantage.

- Experience in quality and environmental management system.

3. Software Skill:

- Computer literate, good knowledge of MS Office operation, Excel and Power Point.

4. Technical Skill:

- Experience with process simulations and standard operating procedures. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

5. Communication:

- Good in English and Bahasa Malaysia. (Preferred Japan would be advantage)

6. Certification:

- for Certification 5 Core Tools in IATF would be advantage

7. Leadership

- Previous experience in a supervisory role is an advantage.

- Excellent leadership ability and good role for workers.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
