Role: Quality Assurance Lead (QA) for Design

In a Nutshell

We’re hiring a Design QA Lead to ensure every graphic design output meets the highest standards of clarity, visual appeal, consistency, and brand alignment across our e-commerce ecosystem.

Beyond manual review and quality control, this role will also evolve into supporting the development of AI-assisted QA workflows that help automate and scale design evaluation.

Day-to-Day Tasks

• Review all incoming design work daily across teams
• Maintain a zero-backlog QA workflow (all submissions reviewed within the same day)
• Evaluate designs based on clarity, aesthetics, usability, brand alignment, and execution quality
• Assign each design a quality score (1–10)
• Mark each submission as PASS or FAIL with structured, actionable feedback
• Provide clear improvement suggestions to help designers iterate effectively
• Enforce design standards and ensure consistency across all outputs
• Identify recurring design issues and communicate patterns to relevant teams
• Continuously refine and uphold design quality benchmarks
• Prepare weekly QA reports covering: Volume of work reviewed, Average quality scores, Common design issues, Performance trends and insights
• Collaborate in designing frameworks for AI-assisted design QA systems
• Help define scoring rules, evaluation criteria, and feedback structures for automation
• Test and validate AI-generated design feedback for accuracy and usefulness
• Support ongoing improvement of AI-powered QA workflows

Our Requirements

• Strong background in visual or product design
• Prior experience as a design or QA lead preferred
• Excellent visual judgment and strong attention to detail
• Ability to evaluate design quality objectively and consistently
• Strong written communication skills for structured feedback
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume review environments
• Experience with design systems, brand guideline enforcement, or scalable quality processes is a plus
• Familiarity with AI tools in creative/design workflows, automation, or prompt design is a plus
• Experience working with product teams or agencies is beneficial
• Ability to think in systems and maintain consistent quality standards

Compensation

$1,500 – $2,200 per month
