We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and highly organized Student Care Assistant Manager to lead our student care centre. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage a team of educators, and ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for primary school students after school hours.
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a passion for holistic child development, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and school stakeholders.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Centre Operations & Leadership
- Oversee the daily administration, operations, and logistics of the student care centre.
- Supervise a team of student care teachers and support staff, ensuring high standards of care and professionalism.
- Manage staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development training.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment that complies with national regulatory and safety standards.
2. Programme Development & Student Well-being
- Design, implement, and evaluate structured holistic development programmes, including character development, life skills, and recreational activities.
- Supervise homework supervision processes and ensure students receive appropriate academic support.
- Monitor and support the emotional, social, and physical well-being of all students.
- Manage student behavior and discipline using positive reinforcement and constructive guiding techniques.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, addressing feedback, providing regular updates on student progress, and handling escalations professionally.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with host school authorities, community partners, and vendors.
- Organize parent engagement events, briefings, and center open houses.
4. Administration & Compliance
- Manage student enrollment, attendance records, and center collections/fees.
- Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, student medical records, and operational reports.
- Oversee budget allocation for centre resources, materials, and events.
Job Requirements
- Qualifications: Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a student care centre, tuition centre, or educational institution.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively engage parents and school stakeholders.
- Attributes: Energetic, patient, resilient, and deeply passionate about working with children. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle crisis situations calmly.
