Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate Wine Captain/Junior Sommelier to join our team. You will curate exceptional wine and sake experiences, provide recommendations, and lead wine and sake service operations whilst also assisting in the daily service operations
Job Requirements
- Relevant wine certification (WSET Level 2 or equivalent) with demonstrated knowledge of international wine regions and varietals. Additionally having a Sake Sommelier certification will be bonus, not a prerequsitie
- Minimum 2 years' experience in fine dining or wine service environment with proven wine service expertise
- Effective communication skills with ability to engage diverse clientele and maintaining team spirit and harmony
Job Description
- “Front of House” service and operation role, assisting and delivering exceptional service standards
- Serving primarily as our wine captain, leading wine and sake service operations and mentoring service staff in proper wine handling and presentation techniques
- Provide wine recommendations and pairings to enhance guests' dining experiences
- Maintain beverage's inventory and collaborate with management on wine list development and pricing strategies
- To assist in any relevant duties and responsibilities as part of “Front of House” service
- To be updated on seasonal food specials and actively enlighten guests accordingly
- To be trained to assist in restaurant’s booking and cashiering system
- To provide daily service and “front of house” operations to high standards
- To play an active role in meeting sales and réservation targets for the business
Pay: $2,900.00 - $3,800.00 per month
