HR & Business Support Manager
Sunshine Dental
Salary: S$4,500 – S$5,500/month, depending on experience and fit
Sunshine Dental is a growing SME dental practice. Our purpose is to help every person feel understood, empowered, and confident to take charge of their oral health.
We are looking for a practical, organised and people-oriented HR & Business Support Manager to take ownership of our HR and people functions, while also managing business administration, internal communication, staff engagement, compliance tracking and selected business development initiatives.
This is a hands-on SME role, not a narrow corporate HR role. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing HR personally, handling difficult staff matters, working directly with business owners, and wearing several hats in a growing practice. You will work closely with business owners, dentists, managers, junior leaders and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full HR cycle: recruitment, onboarding, probation, training coordination, appraisals, disciplinary matters, termination and offboarding.
- Maintain complete and accurate HR records, employment contracts, leave records, attendance records, claims, staff benefits and related documentation.
- Ensure HR practices are fair, consistent, properly documented and aligned with MOM guidelines.
- Manage leave planning, roster coordination and scheduling matters for employees and dental professionals.
- Manage remuneration records, staff claims, benefits administration, performance bonus documentation and related HR paperwork.
- Lead staff communication, conflict resolution, morale-building, team engagement and event planning.
- Guide managers and junior leaders in coaching, performance management, attendance management and staff accountability.
- Drive job redesign, role clarity, SOPs and people-related process improvements.
- Manage business administration matters, including licence and permit renewal tracking, compliance calendars, insurance records, document follow-up and regulatory deadline reminders.
- Coordinate directly with vendors, external service providers and relevant parties for administrative, HR, compliance and business support matters.
- Use digital tools, AI and social media to improve HR administration, internal communication, team engagement and workflow tracking.
- Manage selected business development, marketing, patient engagement, service recovery and community outreach projects where needed.
Requirements
- Prior HR / people management experience in a service-based SME environment.
- Familiarity with MOM guidelines, Employment Act basics, work pass matters, leave, salary and termination processes.
- Able to manage HR matters independently after initial orientation.
- Strong follow-through, discretion and documentation habits.
- Able to be warm but firm when managing staff issues.
- Comfortable managing leave planning, roster coordination, claims, benefits and staff documentation.
- Comfortable using social media, event planning, digital tools and AI-assisted productivity.
- Healthcare, dental, medical, wellness, hospitality or other service-based experience is required.
- Formal HR training or certification is preferred but not compulsory.
Ideal Candidate
You are fair, practical, organised and people-centred. You can listen to staff without becoming a gossip channel, uphold management policies and decisions, and build a workplace culture that is warm, accountable and patient-focused.
You should enjoy working in an SME environment where HR, administration, communication and business support overlap, and where practical follow-through is as important as planning.
Interested applicants may submit their resume with current salary, expected salary and notice period.
