Job Purpose

The Quality & Packing Technician is responsible for conducting final quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet technical specifications, and preparing them for safe, secure delivery to customers. This role acts as the final gatekeeper before products leave the facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Control & Inspection

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on finished goods against established specifications and blueprints.
• Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming products; report recurring defects to the production lead.
• Complete quality check for items before packing begins.
• Maintain detailed quality records and log inspection data into the ERP system.

2. Packing for Delivery

• Select appropriate packing materials (boxes, crates, bubble wrap, foam, pallets) based on product size, weight, and fragility.
• Securely pack products to prevent damage during transit, including proper cushioning and blocking/bracing.
• Apply correct labels: part numbers, batch/lot codes, handling instructions (e.g., "Fragile," "This Side Up"), and shipping addresses.
• Operate packing equipment such as tape dispensers, stretch wrappers, banding tools, and foam-in-place machines.
• Assemble shipping containers, including wooden crates or custom cartons as required.

3. Documentation & Coordination

• Generate and verify shipping documents (packing lists, certificates of conformance/compliance, MSDS/SDS).
• Coordinate with the logistics or shipping team to stage finished pallets/cartons for carrier pickup.
• Update inventory system to reflect completed and packed orders.
• Assist in cycle counts of packed goods awaiting shipment.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A technical certificate or associate degree in a related field (e.g., manufacturing, electronics, mechanics) is highly preferred.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection, production, or packing/shipping.
• Familiarity with packing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) or dangerous goods (DG) packing is a plus.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
