1. Title: E&I Engineer
2. Mission:
The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer supports the overall reliability of plant equipment and systems. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance, technical troubleshooting and leading project activities related to electrical and instrumentation work.
3. Responsibility
- Preventive maintenance for panels, MCCs, control systems, transmitters, sensors and instruments
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for E&l systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and automation/DCS faults
- Provide technical support to technicians (chargeman)
- Ensure compliance with plant safety requirements
- Update and maintain wiring diagrams, loop drawings and panel documents
- Handle DCS & PLC routine checks, alarms, and field interface issues
- Lead E & I work for plant upgrades and expansion
- Prepare specs, datasheets, BOQ and technical evaluations
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors and internal teams
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning and system integration
- Deliver project scope with required quality and safety
- Analyze recurring failures and propose long term solutions
- Review equipment performance trends and recommend upgrades
- Improve preventive maintenance plans
- Support process optimization and energy improvement initiatives
- Identify automation improvements and PLC/DCS optimization opportunities
- Ensure E&l systems comply with ISO 9001, HALAL, and other relevant certification requirements
- Maintain calibration records, documentation, and compliance reports
- Participate in audits, risk assessments, and safety reviews
- Follow electrical codes, standards, and plant procedures
4. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in E&l maintenance or engineering
- Experience in chemical or petrochemical plants is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of PLCs and DCS systems
- Self-motivated, independent, and resourceful
- Effective team player with strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications
5. Pre requirements :
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
Work Experience: 3 years minimum
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
