About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the leading property developer companies in Sarawak. This role will be based in Kuching and is responsible for leading and driving all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) initiatives across multiple construction and development projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, promoting a strong safety culture, and minimizing operational risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, implement, and continuously improve the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with local regulations and industry best practices
• Ensure full compliance with Malaysian HSE regulations, including DOSH and other relevant authorities
• Act as the appointed Green Book holder (Registered Safety & Health Officer) and provide expert advisory on all HSE matters
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented
• Oversee site safety operations across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and safe work practices
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to employees and contractors
• Monitor HSE performance through audits, inspections, and reporting; drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and internal stakeholders on safety compliance and reporting matters
• Lead emergency response planning and ensure preparedness across project sites
• Manage and mentor HSE team members where applicable

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Green Book (Registered Safety & Health Officer under DOSH Malaysia)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum 6–8 years of HSE experience, preferably within construction, property development, or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian HSE laws, regulations, and compliance standards
• Proven experience in managing HSE across multiple project sites
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and drive safety culture across the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001, or ISO 14001 will be an added advantage
• Experience working with large-scale or mixed development projects

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
