Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Tax Assistant to support the tax and compliance team in managing documentation, submissions, and coordination with regulatory authorities. This role is suitable for candidates with at least 1 year of working experience who are organized, proactive, and able to manage tasks within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You will be involved in handling tax-related documentation, liaising with government authorities, and supporting daily compliance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the tax team in handling correspondence and follow-ups with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN/IRB) and Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD).
  • Prepare and draft letters, applications, and supporting documents related to tax matters.
  • Ensure timely submission of forms, documents, and compliance-related requirements.
  • Follow up on application status, feedback, and updates from relevant authorities.
  • Support the preparation of documentation for audits, reviews, and compliance checks.

Documentation & Administrative Coordination

  • Maintain proper filing and organization of tax records and compliance documents.
  • Monitor submission timelines and ensure deadlines are met accordingly.
  • Perform accurate data entry into internal systems and tax software.
  • Ensure all records and documentation are updated and maintained systematically.

Requirements

  • Minimum SPM/Diploma qualification.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in tax, accounting, audit, finance, or compliance-related roles.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internship exposure are encouraged to apply.
  • Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Basic understanding of accounting or taxation principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential information professionally.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,600.00 per month

Work Location: In person
