RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Academic Liaison: Act as the primary communication bridge between senior management and academic staff (faculty), ensuring alignment of institutional goals and academic delivery.
• Teaching Allocation: Assign subjects and determine teaching workloads for all lecturers each semester, ensuring balanced distribution and effective resource utilisation.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all Course Files are properly updated, maintained, and audit-ready in compliance with Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) standards.
• Curriculum Review & Development: Lead periodic syllabus reviews to ensure course content remains relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with current industry trends and requirements.
• Conflict Resolution: Handle and resolve student complaints related to teaching quality and internal academic disputes in a fair and professional manner.
• Academic Meetings: Chair monthly departmental meetings to review student progress, address faculty matters, and discuss academic improvements.
• Examination Scheduling: Plan and coordinate final examination timetables, ensuring no subject clashes and smooth execution across programmes.
• Industrial Training Coordination: Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners to secure internship placements for final-year students.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. (Master’s Degree preferred)
• Prior experience in academic management, programme coordination, or lecturing.
• Strong understanding of MQA standards and academic compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and handle conflict professionally.
• Experience in curriculum development and industry collaboration is an added advantage
