JustSimple are looking for a talented and experienced full stack web developer to join our growing team in Malaysia Web Development office.

We are looking for an experienced full stack web developer with a keen interest in PHP / CodeIgniter / Laravel who is ready to join our growing Development team. You will be responsible for the build, maintenance and upgrade of websites and applications. If you have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, we would like to meet you.

You will predominantly work on all of our PHP based projects with a focus on maintaining and enhancing our existing CodeIgniter and Laravel websites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Meets with clients and colleagues to determine website needs and follows up with regular conversations and updates
  • Work in an agile environment collaborating with Project Managers, team member and clients to design, develop and build products
  • Assisting in the design and build of products to meet the business expectations
  • Work side to side with a designer, UX professionals, and testers to optimise user journeys
  • Apply best engineering practices with other team members, and maintain code quality across applications
  • Promote usability of best practices, encouraging a continuous improvement culture
  • Tests websites using a variety of browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox; and debugs as necessary
  • Anticipate requirements, and build software in a flexible, scalable way
  • Take responsibility for own tasks from conception to completion

SKILLS & COMPETENCE REQUIRED

  • At least 1 Year’ previous agency experience
  • PHP 7 – Object Orientated / MySQL 5.6+
  • HTML5 / CSS3(SASS) / Javascript
  • Responsive Design
  • CodeIgniter / Laravel / WordPress / Magento
  • Version Controlling (Git)
  • Browser / Usability Testing
  • Experience in consuming REST / SOAP API’s
  • A minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related

BONUS SKILLS / NICE TO HAVE

  • Solid track record building websites
  • Project management skills
  • Solid track record building websites
  • Agile practices (TDD, BDD, Coding Standards, Continuous Integration etc.)
  • Proficient understanding of E-commerce platforms (WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify, etc.)
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Understanding of server-side file structure/management
  • Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
