Main Duties & Responsibilities
Our client is currently seeking an experienced HSSE Manager to lead all health, safety, social, and environmental initiatives across a major infrastructure project.
In this role, you will oversee the implementation of HSSE strategies, risk management frameworks, environmental and social management systems, and regulatory compliance activities to ensure safe and sustainable project execution.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Developing and implementing project-wide HSSE strategies, policies, and objectives
• Managing environmental and social management systems in line with international standards and lender requirements
• Leading site-wide HSSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments
• Supporting crisis management planning, emergency preparedness, and incident response activities
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and stakeholder requirements
• Coordinating with EPC contractors, consultants, operators, and external stakeholders on HSSE matters
• Leading accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
• Managing HSSE reporting, documentation, and performance dashboards for senior management
• Supporting HSSE awareness programs, training initiatives, and workforce engagement
• Monitoring project risks and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the project lifecycle
Candidate Profile
Our ideal candidate will be one who has most of the below criteria:
• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, or related disciplines
• Around 6–8 years or more of experience in HSSE management within infrastructure, energy, industrial, or construction environments
• Prior experience supporting renewable energy, utility, or large-scale project environments is advantageous
• Strong understanding of environmental and social management systems (ESMS) and international HSSE frameworks
• Experience managing audits, inspections, hazard identification, and incident investigations
• Familiarity with ISO standards, risk management methodologies, and regulatory compliance practices
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills within multi-disciplinary project environments
• Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants, lenders, and regulatory bodies
• Professional certifications related to HSSE or ISO auditing are advantageous
