Position Overview

The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting records, and supporting management in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of F&B industry operations, including inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and outlet performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Reconcile accounts, including bank, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and highlight variances with analysis.
  • Provide management with financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.

3. Cost Control & Inventory Management

  • Track and analyze food and beverage costs, wastage, and margins.
  • Work closely with purchasing and operations teams to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic stock takes and verify inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare cost reports for menu engineering and pricing decisions.

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payments accurately and on time.
  • Monitor receivables and ensure timely collection from customers or franchisees.
  • Liaise with vendors and resolve billing discrepancies.

5. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax filings (GST, VAT, withholding tax, etc.), and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.

6. Process Improvement

  • Assist in implementing financial systems, automation, and process enhancements.
  • Recommend ways to improve operational and financial efficiency.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably in the F&B, hospitality, or retail industry.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
