Job Responsibilities
- Carry out daily inspection, maintenance and repair works for building facilities, common areas and basic M&E systems at the assigned site.
- Assist the Facility Manager and Chargeman in preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance works.
- Attend to maintenance complaints including lighting issues, water pump issues, plumbing issues, minor leaks, sanitary issues, door/lock issues and other building defects.
- Conduct routine checks on common area lighting, electrical fittings, water pumps, toilets, drains, doors, locks, signage and other building facilities.
- Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building maintenance issues.
- Carry out minor repair works including replacement of lights, switches, sockets, taps, fittings, locks and other general maintenance items where applicable.
- Assist in monitoring contractors and service providers carrying out maintenance, repair, servicing or inspection works at site.
- Report any defects, damages, safety hazards, equipment failure or abnormal conditions to the Facility Manager or Chargeman.
- Maintain proper daily checklists, maintenance records, complaint records and work done reports.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, spare parts and materials are properly used, stored and maintained.
- Ensure all maintenance works are carried out safely and in accordance with site safety procedures.
- Assist in emergency response including power failure, water disruption, flooding, fire alarm activation, equipment breakdown and other urgent site matters.
- Keep M&E rooms, pump rooms, store rooms and maintenance areas clean, safe and organized.
- Perform any other duties related to building maintenance and facilities operations as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Facilities Maintenance, Engineering or any related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of working experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property management or related field.
- Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use or building management environment will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge in electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general maintenance works.
- Able to troubleshoot basic building maintenance issues and respond to complaints.
- Responsible, disciplined, hands-on and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia. Basic English is an added advantage.
- Willing to work on-site and attend to urgent maintenance matters when required.
- Candidate must possess own transport and be able to travel for site-related matters when required.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m.
Saturday: 8.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.
May be required to attend to urgent breakdowns, emergencies or scheduled maintenance works outside normal working hours when necessary.
