Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Production

• Prepare basic pastry items (cakes, tarts, cookies, bread, simple desserts)
• Follow recipes accurately (weight, measurements, method)
• Assist in assembling and plating desserts

2. Mise en Place

• Prepare ingredients in advance (weighing, cutting, portioning)
• Ensure station is ready before service

3. Kitchen Support

• Assist senior chefs (Chef de Partie / Sous Chef / Head Pastry Chef)
• Help in bulk production (central kitchen, catering prep, etc.)
• Support during service when needed

4. Hygiene & Safety

• Maintain cleanliness of workstation at all times
• Follow food safety standards (FIFO, labeling, storage)
• Proper handling of equipment

5. Stock & Storage

• Store ingredients properly (chiller, freezer, dry store)
• Inform seniors when stock is low
• Minimise wastage
