Full Time Electrical Engineer Jobs, in Hays Selangor - Maukerja

My client is expanding their presence in Malaysia and are now looking for a Regional Electrical Engineer to support their business across APAC region. This is a great opportunity to gain unique experience, cross-market exposure and grow your technical capabilities. You'll be based in Shah Alam with some occasional travelling (needs may change when projects vamp up) and trainings in Germany (80:20 ratio).

What You'll Do

• Provide electrical engineering support for APAC factory automation (FA) projects, including design, review, and execution in compliance with safety and industry standards.
• Develop and deliver electrical designs (schematics, circuit diagrams, PLC diagrams, parts lists) and support component selection in collaboration with Procurement and suppliers.
• Support site activities including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, inspections, and system acceptance - both remotely and on-site.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Factory Engineering, Sales, and regional teams to review specifications, support tender bids, and prepare technical documentation and presentations.
• Drive continuous improvement of systems, products, and processes (cost, performance, localization) while contributing to product development and broader APAC engineering initiatives.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with ≥5 years’ experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in a lifting or material handling equipment manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, ECAD tools, PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal preferred), and ability to prepare/review electrical schematics.
• Hands-on experience in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems, with familiarity in ERP systems and safety/quality-driven environments.
• Effective stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills with strong time management and ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Fluent in English, a proactive team player mindset, and willingness to travel extensively across the APAC region (and occasionally globally).
