Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • [Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role]
  • CPA,CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in financial software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the Assistant Finance Manager include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Performing financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend identification, to provide insights to management.
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and company policies.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits.
  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of financial control systems.
  • Managing a small team of junior accounting staff and delegating tasks as necessary.
