Responsibilities
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is a high-energy, outward-facing role at the heart of CSSB's lead generation engine. The ISR is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities by actively monitoring government and corporate procurement portals, engaging with prospective clients, and supporting the Account Management team through the early stages of the sales cycle. This is a single headcount position within the Pre-Sales Team, reporting to the Pre-Sales Manager.
This is an ideal entry point for a driven individual who wants to build a career in B2B technology sales, with exposure to government ICT procurement, enterprise solutions, and Malaysia's public sector market.
Key responsibilites:
Monitor government procurement portals daily (MyProcurement, eProcurement, agency-specific portals) for new tender notices, RFQs, and quotation opportunities
Track and log all relevant procurement activities into the pipeline register
Alert the Tender Coordinator and Sales Manager of high-value or time-sensitive opportunities immediately
Maintain an up-to-date calendar of tender closing dates and pre-qualification deadlines
Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and LinkedIn to identify and develop new accounts
Qualify inbound and outbound leads against defined criteria before routing to Account Managers
Research target accounts — understanding their ICT infrastructure, budgets, pain points, and procurement cycles
Build an active prospect database and ensure CRM records are current and accurate
Schedule product demonstrations, site visits, and introductory meetings for Account Managers and Pre-Sales Engineers
Prepare and distribute standard sales collateral, capability statements, and product datasheets
Prepare and process quotation requests received from customers, business partners, and distributors — ensuring accuracy in pricing, product specifications, and delivery terms before submission
Coordinate with Pre-Sales Engineers and vendors to obtain the correct pricing and technical details required to complete each quotation
Maintain a quotation log tracking all requests, submission dates, validity periods, and follow-up status
Assist in the preparation of cover letters and non-technical proposal sections to accompany formal quotations
Follow up on submitted quotations and proposals to obtain status updates and push for conversion
Submit a weekly lead generation and portal monitoring summary to the Pre-Sales Manager
Track personal KPIs including leads generated, calls made, meetings scheduled, and opportunities created
Participate in weekly Sales and Pre-Sales team reviews
