Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive, commercially driven, and customer-focused Sales Engineer to support the growth of our industrial racking and storage solutions business. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and delivering practical storage solutions that address customer operational needs.
The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with strong sales acumen, enabling them to identify customer requirements, recommend suitable solutions, and drive projects from initial engagement through successful order closure and implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy consultative selling, customer engagement, and working within an industrial / B2B solutions environment.
What you will do:
1. Business Development & Sales Growth
Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s customer base and revenue growth.
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with both new and existing customers to drive long-term business partnerships.
Actively generate sales leads through market prospecting, networking, referrals, site visits, and customer engagement activities.
Achieve assigned sales targets, business development objectives, and key performance indicators.
2. Solution Selling & Customer Engagement
Understand customer operational requirements, warehouse challenges, and storage needs to recommend suitable industrial racking and storage solutions.
Conduct customer meetings, site surveys, product presentations, and solution discussions to develop tailored proposals.
Deliver consultative technical sales support, including solution recommendations, product clarifications, and commercial discussions.
Manage customer enquiries, follow-ups, negotiations, and sales conversion activities in a timely and professional manner.
3.Proposal & Project Coordination
Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, solution presentations, and supporting technical documentation.
Coordinate with internal engineering, project, operations, and installation teams to ensure accurate solution design and smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress and support customer communication throughout implementation to ensure customer satisfaction.
Assist in resolving customer concerns, project issues, or service-related matters where required.
4. Market Intelligence & Reporting
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing movements, and customer industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
Maintain accurate sales pipeline records, forecasts, and customer activity updates in accordance with internal reporting requirements.
Provide regular sales updates and market feedback to management.
What you need to have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related discipline.
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in technical sales, engineering sales, industrial equipment, material handling, warehouse solutions, storage systems, or related B2B industries.
Good understanding of consultative selling and customer relationship management.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable conducting customer site visits and engaging in field-based sales activities.
Possess own transport and willing to travel for customer meetings and site visits.
Fresh graduates with strong commercial drive and interest in technical solution sales are encouraged to apply.
