Education & Professional Certifications

• Mandatory License:Must possess a validBoilerman Grade 1 or Grade 2 Certificate of Competencycertified byDOSH / JKKP Malaysia.

• Minimum Education: Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Vocational Certificate, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Work Experience

• Years of Experience:Minimum of2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining industrial steam boilers in a manufacturing plant, mill, or refinery environment.

• Specialized Experience:Proven experience operating and troubleshootingReverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment Plants alongside boiler operations.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Boiler & RO Operations: Strong technical knowledge of daily steam boiler operations, water chemistry control, and RO filtration systems.

• Maintenance & Repair:Practical skills in mechanical piping, valve servicing, and specific expertise inrepairing and welding leaking steam coils.

• Regulatory Compliance:Deep understanding ofDOSH/JKKP rules and regulations, with experience leading or preparing machinery for statutory annual inspections.

• Data Logging: Ability to meticulously record daily operational parameters, maintain log sheets, and document preventive maintenance (PM) checklists.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Physical Fitness: Capable of working in high-temperature environments, climbing industrial structures, and performing manual machinery repairs.

• Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays to support continuous factory operations.

• Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Ensure the boiler is operated safely in accordance with the established SOPs.

• Carry out repair and maintenance works for the Boiler, RO Plant, and related equipment as instructed, especially during inspections by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia (DOSH/JKKP).

• Perform and record periodic inspections (preventive maintenance) on the boiler, RO Plant, and designated equipment.

• Record daily operational data for the boiler, RO Plant, and other equipment, such as steam coil leakages, etc.

• Carry out repair works on leaking steam coils.

• Comply with safety regulations while operating the boiler and performing repair works within the company premises.
