Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Intern — KLGreens Sdn Bhd

Location: Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia Type: Internship (Full-Time) Duration: 3–6 Months Platforms:LinkedIn · Meta · YouTube · TikTok

About KLGreens

KLGreens is one of Malaysia's leading corporate training providers — home to 140+ HRD Corp claimable programmes spanning ESG, leadership, HR, finance, and more. We train professionals across industries, run flagship conferences, and we're growing fast.

We're not a quiet office. We're a company that's actively building its brand, expanding its digital reach, and leaning into new tools and platforms to do it. If you want real work — not coffee runs and data entry — this is the internship for you.

The Role

We're looking for a Social Media & Content Intern who's curious, creative, and genuinely excited about digital content. You don't need a portfolio or years of experience. You need initiative, a willingness to learn fast, and a hunger to produce work that actually moves the needle.

You'll be embedded in our marketing function, working directly on live campaigns across multiple platforms — contributing to KLGreens' content engine from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

Content Creation

  • Create and produce digital content across formats — graphics, short-form copy, video clips — with support from AI-powered tools
  • Script, shoot, and edit live video content for social platforms
  • Produce Google Omni Video content as part of our video marketing pipeline

Publishing & Scheduling

  • Schedule and publish content using tools like Buffer across Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Maintain a consistent posting cadence aligned with our content calendar

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor post performance across all active platforms
  • Track platform growth metrics, engagement trends, and lead generation signals
  • Pull and interpret data from social media dashboards and compile clear weekly reports

Strategy & Growth

  • Contribute observations and ideas during content planning sessions
  • Flag what's working, what isn't, and bring fresh platform-native ideas to the table
  • Support the company's broader digital growth initiatives with data-backed insights

What We're Looking For

Must Have

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business, or a related field
  • Comfortable on social media — you use it, you understand it, you notice what performs well
  • Basic written communication skills in English (Bahasa Malaysia is a plus)
  • Willingness to be on camera occasionally and comfortable filming short-form content
  • A genuine interest in digital marketing, content creation, or brand building

Good to Have

  • Some familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut, Buffer, or Meta Business Suite
  • Basic video editing experience (any platform — phone-based editing counts)
  • An eye for aesthetics, trends, and what makes content scroll-stopping

Honestly? Most Important

  • You're a self-starter who takes ownership
  • You ask questions, take notes, and follow through
  • You're not waiting to be told what to do — you're already thinking two steps ahead

What You'll Walk Away With

This isn't a passive internship. By the time you're done here, you'll have:

  • Hands-on experience managing live social media accounts for a real company across four major platforms
  • Practical skills in AI-assisted content creation, video production, and analytics reporting
  • Exposure to B2B marketing in Malaysia's corporate training sector — a niche that's increasingly in demand
  • A portfolio of real work — posts, videos, reports — that you created and published
  • Working knowledge of industry tools including Buffer, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics, and more
  • A reference from a credible, HRD Corp-licensed organisation with over a decade in the industry

How to Apply

Send your CV and a short note (no longer than 200 words) telling us: Why you want this role — and one social media account (brand or creator) you think is doing things right, and why.

kevin************* Subject Line: Social Media Intern Application — [Your Name]

We review applications on a rolling basis. Strong candidates will be contacted for a brief video or in-person interview.

KLGreens Sdn Bhd is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and universities.

A few things worth noting before you send that email: We move quickly here. If you're the kind of person who takes three weeks to reply to a message, this probably isn't the right fit. If you're the kind of person who sends a follow-up — we want to hear from you.

Pay: RM500.00 - RM1,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
